Who can participate? | ||||||||||
Students
who are interested in the political and economic development of
European integration, and the province of Vojvodina as a unique melting
pot of different traditions, cultures and nationalities, as well as
historical and political developments. |

Accommodation and meals: | ||||||||||
All foreign participants will be
accommodated in double rooms of the new student dorms A and B (Address:
Boulevard Despota Stefana 5a; 15 minutes walking distance from the
Campus). |

The University of Novi Sad offers to organize joint lunches in one of the restaurants on the Campus. Breakfast and dinner are to participants’ own arrangement. | ||||||||||
Travel expenses: | ||||||||||
Participants will cover their own travel expenses. | ||||||||||

After the Competition for Entry (cf. below) is closed, the selected candidates will be asked to transfer € 200 to the account of the University of Novi Sad. The fee covers accommodation, lectures, the School material, and two whole-day excursions. | ||||||||||

Participants from Novi Sad and other
participants who do not need accommodation will cover the participation
fee of only € 90.

If participants come from Serbia and Montenegro, the appropriate amount (either € 200 or € 90) can be transferred only in dinars (following the official rate of exchange on the day of payment) to the university giro account no. 840-631666-25. | ||||||||||

Lunch: | ||||||||||
Candidates interested to have
organized lunches during the Summer School have to select this option in
their application form; the fee covering two full weeks is € 100
and payable to the university account above, in the same way as stated
above. |

Grants: | ||||||||||
There will be a limited number of
grants available to participants from the region of South East Europe.
Grants will cover the registration fee. If you wish to obtain a grant,
please send a written application stating your reasons together with
your application for admission to the Summer School.

After the close of the Entry Competition, the organization committee of the Summer School will select candidates who fulfill conditions for receiving a grant. | ||||||||||
Materials: | ||||||||||
Participants will receive (by e-mail)
some preparatory material for the first week of the Summer School 4
weeks before it starts. More material will be available on CD-ROM at the
beginning of the School.

Writing a paper: | ||||||||||
Participants willing to write a paper
on any of the subjects mentioned below or, by prior consultation with
the organisers, on any other subject related to the theme of the Summer
School, should get a proper graduate seminar certificate worth 8 ECTS
points and issued either by the Department of Politics, University of
Münster, or the Nottingham Trent University according to participants‘
choice. Participants not willing to write a paper may nevertheless get a
non-credited seminar certificate as a token of their presence. |

Additional notes: | ||||||||||
Admission to the Summer School
requires a reasonably good command of English. Intending participants
should submit a letter of motivation (written in English) to
their respective regional contingent organisers, stating the reasons for
their intention to participate and their expectations regarding the
summer school. This should be accompanied by a TOEFL or any other
certificate proving their command of English. If these certificates
cannot be produced, English language interviews in Novi Sad some time
before the actual conference start will determine whether an applicant’s
linguistic standards will enable her/him to take part in the Summer
School with academic profit. |
