Power Academy: The Power to Know the Power to Act the Power to Envision
University Campus, Novi Sad, 12-22 July 2005

The "Youth Organizing Institute" is an alternative academy that gathers 50 young people from the region of SouthEast Europe through intensive, informal education process. The YOI focused on the instruction of Balkan youth, selected based on their commitment to remain in their country to work for social change, in the techniques of dispute resolution, community organization, and the effective use of media.

Numerous public events are organized within  YOI such as
- Lecture by Prof. Kristina Boban, "Cultural Differences as Potential Causes of Conflicts and Their Resolution";
- Lecture by Prof. Miklos Biro, "Factors of Reconciliation among Nationalities in Conflict";
- Screening of the Movie "Kennedy Comes Back Home" by movie director Zelimir Zilnik;
- Lecture by Predrag Lazetic, "Higher Education in Southeast Europe Region and Bologna Process";
- Screening of short movies on: "Mapping Rightwing Extremism";
-  Presentation of he campaign of Students Union of University of Novi Sad "Southeast Europe Anti-corruption network";
- Experimental Concert: SKIIIIK++, Belgrade,Vs.NPR, Oakland, USA
