The summer school should provide, in 2002, an introductory crash course for students interested in the background to and context of European integration; it will be based at Novi Sad.
Participants should come from different faculties of the University of Novi Sad ( as well as from the other Universities taking part in the above network. The school is open for the students of all Universities in Serbia.
Applications from Serbia should be sent to duda@uns.ns.ac.yu.
Accommodation should be arranged with the use of the University facilities in Novi Sad in mind: the university provides student places in its dormitories (double rooms). Accommodation is free of charge meals for students from Serbia; University of Novi Sad offers meals in the students restaurant financed by the students; transport to/from Novi Sad is the responsibility of the participants.
There will also be no fees for participation in the conference; however, the organisers cannot assist participants with the cost of their travel.
Participants willing to write a paper on any of the subjects mentioned below or, by prior consultation with the organisers, on any other subject related to these should get a proper graduate seminar certificate worth 8 ECTS points and issued either by the Department of Politics, University of Münster, or the Nottingham Trent University according to participants‘ choice. Participants not willing to write a paper may nevertheless get a non-credited seminar certificate as a token of their presence.
Admission to the summer school requires a reasonably good command of English. Intending participants should submit a letter of motivation to their respective regional contingent organisers written in English, stating the reasons for their intention to participate and their expectations regarding the summer school. This should be accompanied by a TOEFL or any other certificate proving their command of English. If these certificates cannot be produced, English language interviews in Novi Sad some time before the actual school start will determine whether an applicant’s linguistic standards will enable her/him to take part in the summer school with academic profit.
Deadline for applications is June 30, 2002.
From 2003 onwards, the Summer school will be the entrance portal to and active component of the Master in European Studies that will be held in Subotica.
